Never None & Always: A Poem

45

By Rosie2Travel

I sit and wait for the words to come,

but they never do.

Why is that?

Are you some god--

With skin so gold: Midas Envied you?

With strength so abundant: Atlas merely shrugged?

With knowledge so varied: Zeus' lightning bolt paled in comparison?

With charm so great: The Wife of Bath pines for you?

True you possess all these qualities

Even to the extent with which they are described, but better men have existed.

None so handsome as to shaem the proud Mr. Darcy, but some none the less.

None so wise as to be the confidant of David, but some none the less.

None so exceptional as to regally shame Arthur, but some none the less.

Alright. You win.

As Orion moves to make room for you among the stars, I suppose, so shall I.

I have but one further avowal:

As Othello loved Desdemona, so shall I love you.

Always.

Brilliant again! Your knowledge of ancient history, literature, and mythology is vivid here. Great one!
